To promote sport boat sailing in South Africa the Cape Sport boat Circuit has been established and is aimed at catering for yachts that have a sport racing intent with similar design and handicap characteristics. The CSBC will offer fast paced sport sailing courses integrated into our sailing calendar alongside the existing sailing in South Africa. The aim is to be inclusive and build the taste and excitement of sport racing in our sailing environment. 

The CSBC will cater for all classes of boats that can bring more than 3 entries to the start line and all modern sport racing designs that meet the ORC ratings criteria as set out. 

Race days will have a format of 3 races per day with an average race duration of approximately 50 minutes. 

In hosted regattas the CSBC will integrate with the racing as set out per the event notice of contest.
